White Mountain stands on the east bank of the Fish River, the only inland village on the Seward Peninsula. It began as a fish camp and grew with Klondike-era prospectors. Every Iditarod team must take an eight-hour rest here before the last 77 miles to the finish. A 2006 fire destroyed the high school, and a new combined school opened in 2009.
We rent mobile kitchen trailers, dishwashing trailers, and emergency refrigeration trailers as short-term rentals or long-term leases. Call any hour or request availability and a quote for your White Mountain site.
Elevation from the Open-Meteo elevation model. Temperatures are averages for January lows and July highs in 2022 to 2024, from Open-Meteo reanalysis data.
At roughly 80 feet there is no altitude adjustment for burners, ovens, or dish-machine water. Humidity and heat matter more, and we plan refrigeration and ventilation around them.
Average January nights here drop to about -2°F. For a winter rental we confirm insulated hoses, heat tracing, and a generator or shore-power plan that keeps the heaters running.
Summer highs near 61°F keep refrigeration loads light and kitchens comfortable. Wind, rain, and cool nights are the bigger planning items for an outdoor setup.
Alaska is not one connected road network, and much of it is reached by ferry, barge, or air freight. Whether White Mountain can take a trailer by road or needs another route is confirmed when we quote, so give us your dates early.
The last of three mandatory Iditarod rest stops is here, where teams rest eight hours before the final 77 miles to the finish. Race staff, volunteers, and visitors in those hours can use a mobile kitchen for hot meals and dishwashing.
A fire in 2006 destroyed the high school building, and a combined replacement school was finished in 2009. Fire remains a risk wherever kitchens run daily, and a temporary kitchen can keep school or community meals going during repairs for staff and students.
Subsistence activities are common in the community. A failed walk-in freezer at an institution or store can put harvested food at risk, and an emergency refrigeration trailer can hold stock until repairs are completed and the freezer is restarted later in the year.
We keep equipment in Juneau, the Alaska capital, and plan every delivery from there. White Mountain is about 1,040 miles from the warehouse as the crow flies; the actual road route, timing, and any permits are confirmed when we quote.
White Mountain is on the Fish River, the only inland village on the Seward Peninsula. Transport details are not documented in the sources reviewed, so plan on air freight or river and coastal barge where available, and confirm landing, unloading, and ground transport with carriers.
We confirm the exact route and any seasonal limits for your address at quote.

A 2006 fire destroyed the high school building, and winter conditions here are severe. If a fire or equipment failure takes out a kitchen or cooler, our 24/7 emergency deployment is available once a freight route is arranged.

Rentals run by the month, with short-term and long-term options. Delivery, setup, and pickup are coordinated for your site. An inquiry does not reserve equipment; a person confirms availability, delivery time, and terms with you. Hours: open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Setup usually takes about five hours for kitchens and dishwashing trailers and about one hour for refrigeration units, and an inquiry is the first step, not a reservation.
When a kitchen closes for a renovation, a repair, or an emergency, the people it feeds still need to eat. Reliable White Mountain mobile kitchen rentals and a team that picks up the phone keep service running on your schedule.
Delivery and setup of White Mountain mobile kitchen rentals are coordinated around your schedule in White Mountain, with timing confirmed at quote.
Call (888) 385-5513 any hour. A broken cooler or a closed kitchen does not wait for business hours.
One team helps choose the trailer, plans the hookups, and collects it when the job is done.
Terms run from a single week to a long lease, matched to how long your own kitchen will be out of service.
Equipment built to handle a full day of service, from the cooking line to the dish room and cold storage.
Site access, placement, power, water, and wastewater are checked before the trailer is on the road.
Our customers run commercial and institutional kitchens, including hospitals, schools, government and military sites, hotels, correctional facilities, and caterers. What we promise is what we can confirm: someone answering the phone at any hour, coordinated delivery and setup, and a written quote that states terms before you agree to anything.
Lost cold storage, a fire or flood in the kitchen, or a failed dish-room inspection can all call for a trailer fast. Phone us, and we start working out the replacement while you gather the address and power details.
Possibly. Contact race organizers, the city, and the health authority covering your operation early, and plan freight well ahead because the rest-stop window depends on race timing. Confirm site, power, and water arrangements before you commit.
Likely by air, or by river barge where service exists. Confirm size limits and schedules with a carrier, and check with local officials about site, power, and water before scheduling. Route details are not verified here.
