Allakaket sits on the south bank of the Koyukuk River, facing another village across the water. January mornings are at or below zero nearly every day, and the river is ice-free only from June through October. Cash work comes from the school, city, tribe and village store, plus summer construction and firefighting jobs.
We rent mobile kitchen trailers, dishwashing trailers, and emergency refrigeration trailers as short-term rentals or long-term leases. Call any hour or request availability and a quote for your Allakaket site.
Elevation from the Open-Meteo elevation model. Temperatures are averages for January lows and July highs in 2022 to 2024, from Open-Meteo reanalysis data.

With typical January lows around -16°F, a trailer left without heat can freeze its water system in a single night. We plan hookups, heaters, and a drain-down routine for any rental that spans winter.
Summer highs near 68°F keep refrigeration loads light and kitchens comfortable. Wind, rain, and cool nights are the bigger planning items for an outdoor setup.
Alaska is not one connected road network, and much of it is reached by ferry, barge, or air freight. Whether Allakaket can take a trailer by road or needs another route is confirmed when we quote, so give us your dates early.
A 1964 ice-jam flood inundated most of the community, and a September 1994 flood destroyed or swept away nearly all buildings and winter food caches. After a flood, crews and displaced residents need meals, dishwashing and cold storage while permanent facilities are rebuilt.
Barge service reaches the town only about once a year, depending on weather and water levels. If a freezer holding winter food fails, replacement must come by air or wait for the barge, so a refrigeration trailer can protect the supply in the meantime.
Summer work in the area includes construction and BLM emergency firefighting. Crews staged near the village need a field kitchen, showers and laundry that do not strain local buildings or utilities, and trailers can supply those without displacing community uses.
We keep equipment in Juneau, the Alaska capital, and plan every delivery from there. Allakaket is about 810 miles from the warehouse as the crow flies; the actual road route, timing, and any permits are confirmed when we quote.
Allakaket has no road. A 4,000-foot gravel airstrip is open year-round, snow machine trails serve winter travel, and a river barge reaches town about once a year depending on water levels. A full trailer would likely need barge scheduling, so plan well ahead and confirm with carriers.
We confirm the exact route and any seasonal limits for your address at quote.
Open 24/7
Breakup ice jams have flooded this community before: a 1964 flood inundated about 85 percent of it, and a September 1994 flood took out nearly all buildings and winter food caches. After floods or deep freezes, we deploy kitchen and shower units 24/7.

Rentals run by the month, with short-term and long-term options. Delivery, setup, and pickup are coordinated for your site. An inquiry does not reserve equipment; a person confirms availability, delivery time, and terms with you. Hours: open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Setup usually takes about five hours for kitchens and dishwashing trailers and about one hour for refrigeration units, and an inquiry is the first step, not a reservation.
Renovations, repairs, and emergencies all leave a kitchen dark at the wrong time. With Allakaket mobile kitchen rentals and a team on call, the people you feed keep getting fed.
From the first call, we line up transport and setup for Allakaket mobile kitchen rentals in Allakaket so the kitchen is ready when your crew is.
Emergencies do not keep office hours, so neither do we. Call (888) 385-5513 whenever a kitchen or cooler goes down.
From picking the right trailer to utility hookups and pickup, one team stays on your job.
Rent by the week or the month, or lease for a longer project, and send the trailer back when you no longer need it.
Ranges, ovens, dish machines, and coolers sized for institutional volume, not household appliances.
Placement, utilities, and wastewater are reviewed with you ahead of delivery so there are no surprises on arrival.
We serve commercial and institutional kitchens: healthcare, education, government and military, hospitality, correctional facilities, and caterers. We stand behind what we can confirm: a person on the phone around the clock, delivery and setup coordination, and a quote that spells out terms before you commit.
When a cooler warms up overnight, a flood closes the kitchen, or an inspector shuts down the dish room, call us and we begin planning the replacement on that call. It helps to have the unit's make, your available power, and the site address ready.
Yes. The community flooded in 1964 and 1994, so ask the city and tribe about flood-prone ground and where equipment can sit safely. Local and state emergency management can advise on river conditions during breakup and fall.
With January mornings at or below zero nearly every day, water lines, drains and fuel need freeze protection. Ask about heated hoses, insulated skirting and heating capacity, and confirm winter operating requirements for a temporary kitchen with the health department.
Yes, around the clock. Phone (888) 385-5513, tell us what failed and where your Allakaket site is, and we check availability from our Juneau warehouse and quote the delivery.
