Low elevation, about 90 feet
At roughly 90 feet there is no altitude adjustment for burners, ovens, or dish-machine water. Humidity and heat matter more, and we plan refrigeration and ventilation around them.

A gravel bar about 4.5 miles long, the Homer Spit, reaches into Kachemak Bay and holds the harbor. Halibut and salmon sport fishing, tourism and commercial fishing dominate the economy, and the Sterling Highway is the only road in. The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District and a university campus add institutional demand through the year.
We rent mobile kitchen trailers, dishwashing trailers, and emergency refrigeration trailers as short-term rentals or long-term leases. Call any hour or request availability and a quote for your Homer site.
Elevation from the Open-Meteo elevation model. Temperatures are averages for January lows and July highs in 2022 to 2024, from Open-Meteo reanalysis data.
At roughly 90 feet there is no altitude adjustment for burners, ovens, or dish-machine water. Humidity and heat matter more, and we plan refrigeration and ventilation around them.
Winter nights regularly drop below freezing, with lows around 21°F. We check water-line protection and heater capacity for rentals through the cold months.
Summer highs near 62°F keep refrigeration loads light and kitchens comfortable. Wind, rain, and cool nights are the bigger planning items for an outdoor setup.
Alaska is not one connected road network, and much of it is reached by ferry, barge, or air freight. Whether Homer can take a trailer by road or needs another route is confirmed when we quote, so give us your dates early.
Fishing charters, visitors and harbor traffic all concentrate on the Spit in summer. A food business or lodge there that loses its kitchen to a fire, equipment failure or remodel in the peak months loses its best weeks. A trailer kitchen can cover service during repairs.
The Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival has run every early May since 1993, timed to spring migration when more than 13,000 shorebirds of 25 species visit the bay. Organizers and caterers feeding festival-goers can add cooking and dishwashing capacity with temporary trailers.
The 1964 Good Friday earthquake made much of the coastline and the Spit sink dramatically. Coastal Alaska still plans for earthquakes, and a damaged school, care facility or restaurant could lose its kitchen for weeks. A temporary kitchen trailer keeps meal service running during assessment and repair.
We keep equipment in Juneau, the Alaska capital, and plan every delivery from there. Homer is about 615 miles from the warehouse as the crow flies; the actual road route, timing, and any permits are confirmed when we quote.
The Sterling Highway is the only road into Homer, and the community is the southernmost on the contiguous Alaska highway system. Juneau has no road link, so a trailer would first need a marine or air leg to reach the highway network. Expect snow in winter and check state road conditions before the final leg.
We confirm the exact route and any seasonal limits for your address at quote.
Open 24/7
The Spit is a low gravel bar, and the 1964 earthquake caused it to sink along with much of the coastline. After an earthquake, storm or fire that takes out a kitchen or cooler, our 24/7 emergency deployment can arrange replacement units.

Rentals run by the month, with short-term and long-term options. Delivery, setup, and pickup are coordinated for your site. An inquiry does not reserve equipment; a person confirms availability, delivery time, and terms with you. Hours: open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Setup usually takes about five hours for kitchens and dishwashing trailers and about one hour for refrigeration units, and an inquiry is the first step, not a reservation.
A closed kitchen does not stop anyone from being hungry. Dependable Homer mobile kitchen rentals, backed by people who answer the phone, keep meals on schedule while the permanent kitchen is out.
We plan Homer mobile kitchen rentals delivery in Homer around the date you need meals served, then confirm the timing when we quote.
(888) 385-5513 is answered all day and all night. If a cooler fails at 2 a.m., that is the number to call.
You deal with one crew from the first question about trailer size through pickup at the end of the term.
Short-term and long-term rentals, so the trailer leaves when your permanent kitchen is ready.
Commercial-grade cooking, dishwashing, and refrigeration equipment built for daily institutional use.
We check how the trailer will get onto your site, where it will sit, and what power, water, and drains it needs before it ships.
Rentals are for commercial and institutional users such as healthcare, education, government, hospitality, corrections, and catering. We keep our claims to what is confirmed: round-the-clock phone coverage, help coordinating delivery and setup, and clear terms in every quote.
A walk-in cooler that stopped holding temperature, a kitchen closed by a fire or flood, a dish room that failed an inspection: call and we start planning the replacement right away. Keep the unit's make, your power, and your address handy.
Space on the Spit is tight in summer and some land is city, harbor or private. Ask the city about parking, utilities and any permits for the exact site, and confirm with the borough and the agency that permits food service whether plan review is needed.
Winters average about 50 inches of snow, and the Sterling Highway is the only road in. Allow extra margin for snow and check state road conditions. Site access for a large unit also matters, so ask about plowing and whether utilities will be ready.
Call (888) 385-5513 at any hour and we begin planning on that call. Trailers leave from our Juneau warehouse, and the delivery time to Homer depends on the equipment and the road, which we confirm in your quote.
Not by itself. We reply with availability, timing, and terms first, and equipment is reserved only after you agree to them.
